West and Central Africa
None of the countries from the West and Central Africa region feature in Cluster 1 – top performing countries, based on overall performance in the KidsRights Index 2026. Cabo Verde is the only country from the region that features in Cluster 2. The highest proportion of countries from the region are concentrated in the lowest cluster at 42%, with scope for significant improvement across all children’s rights.
