Eastern Europe and Central Asia
Kazakhstan is the only country from the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region that features among the top 25 countries in the KidsRights Index 2026. Among all the regions, the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region has the highest proportion of countries in Cluster 2 at 67%. Only 14% of the countries from this region are categorized in Cluster 1 – top performing countries, based on overall performance in the KidsRights Index 2026.
